The Bass Hatamemo is a mixture of three instruments:
On one level, there's a bass hatame, a bass harmony tambourine with four chords (C, F, G, Am) and a melody level with eight strings and 16 notes. On the other level, there's a monochord.
Everything that has already been said in the description of the Bass Hatamo and the Bass Hatame applies to this instrument as well.
To put it simply: The Bass Hatamemo is absolutely awesome!
The enormous richness of sound and the wide variety of playing styles make it a multi-talent for both seasoned musicians and those new to sound who are keen to explore new possibilities.
Along with the kotamo, it's the central instrument in our sound concerts. We're always surprised by what we can coax out of the hatamemo.
Its compact dimensions compared to the Kotamos make it easy to take anywhere. When amplified with our pickup system through an amp or PA, it feels like an entire orchestra.
The instrument can also be played very well by two players at the same time.
