About me and Meerklang

My name is Götz Rausch. Since 2002 I have been running the Meerklang musical instrument workshop, which is based in Stolzenhagen, northeast of Berlin.

I learned my profession in a three-year apprenticeship with Bernhard Deutz, Klangwerkstatt in Berlin.

The focus of my work is the production and development of high-quality, easy-to-play string instruments for people of all ages who want to play, work and experiment with sounds in a simple and very direct way.

The Meerklang instruments can make it much easier to get started in the world of music, as the focus is not on discipline and strict rules, but on the free exploration of tones, rhythms and harmonies.
